Sardinia offers such a wide variety of interesting diving options that visitors often find it difficult to choose among them. This Italian diving area allows visitors to practice snorkeling, cave diving, wreck diving and wall diving among many other water related sports and activities.

Although this area is worthwhile to be visited all year around, its best months might probably be May and June since this is when weather is most enjoyable and propitious for diving. August and September might offer great weather as well, although during these months temperatures can be too high for visitors who are not used to them.

Visitors who do not know how to dive and wish to learn can also fulfill their needs while visiting this island since there are several diving schools and courses available for all those who wish to dive. There are PADI and NAUI diving courses which would allow visitors to become dive novices and be guided in diving areas special for them.

One of the main diving areas visitors can find in Sardinia is Lo Stazzu in Costa Paradiso. Lo Stazzu allows divers to practice cave diving as well as meet several lobsters of different sizes on their way. Besides Lo Stazzu, Costa Paradiso offers other great diving spots such as Le Guglie and La Punta, where visitors can dive surrounded by amazing sea creatures as well as meet interesting caves, tunnels and rocks formations.

Another great area which divers who enjoy cave diving should not miss while visiting Sardinia is Grotta del Nereo in Capo Caccia. Grotta del Nereo offers several great tunnels and caves surrounded by beautiful corals and sea creatures. This area contains such an amount of interesting diving spots that it would take about four or five dives to fully explore it.

I. Maldiventre, nr Oristano is another diving area which all divers should make sure to visit while being in Sardinia. This area contains several different diving spots, among which we can name Eye of Venus, Canalone, Vaporetto Wreck, and Anchi di Maestrale where divers of all levels of expertise and preferences would be able to find a dive spot suitable to them.
